The Campaign Against Drugs – AY, SKIIBI, AKPORORO, EHIZ, COMEDIAN PENCIL, OSSY ACHIEVAS and Others Shine at Powerball Tournament 2017

Even the heavy downpour was not enough to stop the massive turnout as youths trooped in to take their stand against drug abuse in Nigeria at the Powerball Tournament.

The Powerball tourney, which was designed to educate youths on the negative impact of drug use in the society commenced at about 10:15 am with the recitation of the National Anthem.

There was no wasting time with the kick-off as 10 universities began the race for the title. No sooner had the first match began, than the heavy rain began to pour. After an hour rain break, activities resumed.
The celebrities were not left out of the fun as they began their match around 2:35pm- TZA against Billionaire bet. for team tza we had deshinor,skiibi, BOJ, Attitude, ehiz etc , all gingered up while team Billionaire bet featured Akpororo ,Pencil, AY, Ossy Achievas etc Other celebrities who participated include sexy steel, shobzy, sess the problem kid, MC Galaxy, Osagie metal chic etc. VIKTOH YBNL was the match official and during the course of the match the spectators were treated to good music by the Smirnoff X1 DJ TGARBS.

There were loud cheers as Skibi, Victoh, Junior boy etc hit the field for mind blowing performances.
The grand entrance by the patron of the day (Mr Daysman Oyakhilome) was quickly complemented by his speech as he talked about youth empowerment and drug abuse, as well as congratulating the organizers on the success of the season 2 of the tournament.
Cute kimani a popular OAP also educated participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Focus then shifted to the final stages of the inter university competition. At the end of the tournament, team OOU came third, Team LASU 2nd, and the host school FCE won the tournament with 4 points.

At the end of the event, not only were the youths impacted on the ills of drug abuse, they had maximum fun.

In a quick chat with Stephen ‘paparazi’ Chibuzor the creative director of the Powerball Tourney, he was full of thanks to everyone who came out to support the cause, and promised to make next year’s event bigger and better.
