Senator Ali Ndume has been suspended as an aftermath of the crisis between him and Senator Dino Melaye.
Just now,Senator Ali Ndume has been suspended for 6 months of the legislative year. Rising from a Senate meeting, the suspension came as a result of the report submitted by the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges.
The Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges which found Senator Ali Ndume guilty with his allegations against his colleagues: Senator Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye.
Although,the committee recommended a one year suspension for the former Senate leader, his colleagues pleaded that it be reduced to 6 months as a first time offender.
The session was presided over by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu
